A Lost Anthony Hamilton Album Finally Sees Release
Long time readers of my other site know I was a big fan of Anthony Hamilton's slow-cooked southern soul album Comin' From Where I'm From. So I was happy to read the following from yesterday's Daily News about one of Hamilton's previously-recorded but unreleased albums finally seeing the light of day:
"When artists release their debut CDs, they often act as if they just sprang, fully grown, from the head of Zeus.
But that's seldom close to the truth.
Most suffer years of false starts and aborted releases before they marshal their "debut"works to market.
Even by those standards, few musicians have suffered as many dead ends and broken promises as Anthony Hamilton.
The first album by the singer to actually hit stores, 2003's "Coming From Where I'm Coming From,"earned Hamilton the best reviews for a new male R&B singer in years. The disc spent 72 weeks on the charts, went platinum and earned six Grammy nominations.
But before "Coming From,"the singer endured three previous botched record deals over a 10-year period, resulting in two CDs that never saw the light of day.
At least one of those finally will now.
Hamilton's second album, "Soulife,"hits stores today, five years after it was recorded. It's a formidable work, framing Hamilton's deep rasp of a voice — think Bill ("Lean on Me”) Withers meets former Temptation David Ruffin — in sturdy R&B tunes. " (Click here to read the full article.)

HAMILTON EVERY TIME HE HAS COME TO BIRMINGHAM ALABAMA. I THOUGHT HIS FIRST CD COULD'NT BE BEAT BUT HIS SOULFIFE CD IS OFF THE CHAIN. THEN I FOUND OUT SOULIFE SHOULD HAVE BEEN THE FIRST CD I GOT PISSED. I GOT OVER IT WHEN HE SAID HE WAS IN THE STUDIO WORKING ON WHAT HE CALLS HIS 2ND CD. I CANT WAIT IM ON PINS AND NEEDLES BECAUSE IF HE CAN COME BETTER THAN 1,2,& 3 ON SOULIFE I WILL HAVE TO MEET HIM PERSONALLY AND KISS HIS BIG TOE. I am very in love with Anthony Hamilton he's the best in the music industry today. I had the pleasure of seeing him live in Augusta Georgia he was simply the bomb it would have been a pleasure to meet him in person. It's become a big problem for forum owners to protect them from spam.
Automated programs are sending their ads in huge quantities today.
We're small community of coders, upgrading forum's source code to prevent spam-programs to post ads at your forums.
Our technique is probably one of the best. There's no need in such ugly methods as 'capcha' or 'secret question'.
For average user there would not be any visible effects. No need to make e-mail activation (that usually makes number of successful registrations less), no even need to make your users register at forums to post messages.
